Sorry, not anything crochet-y, just school work.
Books.
SB 2 - Leonardo's Laptop - Ben Shneiderman. Too rose-colored glasses for me. The world doesn't need bushes that can send your PDA their medical properties.
SB 3 - The Social Life of Information - John Seely Brown and Paul Duguid. Better, more realistic. Technology doesn't always mean improvement. Maybe I'm just a pessimist.
I spent 90% of the time this weekend not spent sleeping, reading, absorbing, digesting and regurgitating these two book. Tomorrow I will reread the subsequent paper for grievous typographical errors and send it on it's way. And then I'll read Chapter 8 on Operating Systems. And then more shit on information. Fun, fun, fun.
I did manage to reclaim a sweater while reading. It was one of the sweaters I got at Christmas time and now it's a pile of yarn. Wavy, crinkly, cotton, linen, ramie yarn. Pictures once it's all washed and skeined up. Unless it they're really boring.
When I managed to leave the house for a little bit today, I met the gang at Coffee Rush. Sarah, Naomi (Sarah's sister), Heather, Eva and Mel. I started work on a shawl, this one, made from the Joann's Rainbow Boucle in the black and grey colorway, so it should end up looking like this.
I haven't gotten into the rhythm of the pattern yet, but once I do, this should go quickly.
Ok, it's now 11 o'clock at night and I'm not tired because I haven't done much today but sit, read and type and I had caffeine at 3. So I'm going to go watch DiG! and work on the shawl a bit more.
