I haven't heard from my ex-boyfriend in a number of months. The DoD interviewed me about a security clearance for him in December and I missed a call from him on Christmas day but that's been it.
I wouldn't say we're close friends but we're definitely friendly. And he's not someone to stay incommunicado for so long.
Today I got a (mass) email from him. Turns out he's in Iraq. I'm not sure if it's with his reserve unit or what, but it sounds like he's been there a while and hopes to be coming home soon. And it sounds like it's all getting to him.
I just sent him an email with a few pictures of Lucy, who he adores. Hopefully that helps a little.
Please keep him in your thoughts, along with the rest of the women and men who are stuck in the middle of this stupid conflict. Thanks.

Oh my God, Pam. I am so sorry to hear this. I cannot even imagine. I will keep him in my thoughts and hope every day for Bush's vendetta, err war, to be over.
So sorry to hear this!! Really, Pam, Yuck! Makes the post of being bored seem like a bit of blessing, you know, comparatively. Hope that you have good news soon. Keep stitching, as that may help with your nerves.
