Actually it's Take 3.
Something dramatically bad happened with a yarn-over. Or a k2tog. Or something. And it didn't make itself known for 6 or 7 rows and then it pretended to be fixed for another 3 or 4 rows and then there was this weird gapey area that kept getting bigger and then I frogged the whole damn thing.
The first aborted attempt happened the same way.
I obviously need to learn some better repair techniques or knit more carefully or just learn to accept the gaping holes or something.
I started over tonight. And, since I had the opportunity, I decided I didn't like so many eyelets together so I changed the pattern some as well. It's basically the same except for a few rows of stockinette between the eyelet rows.
Third time's the charm right?

oh man, frogging the lace is no fun. Lifelines are the way to go :) that way if you do have to frog, you don't have to rip out the whole thing :D I learned that the hard way ;)
I'm with ya there. Sometimes I rip out extensive repeats a gazillion times. It happens. Just keep on going. Eventually, you'll get it working the way you need it to.
