I got the camera. I ordered the new computer. I'm waiting for the high speed internet to be installed. I feel very, very poor. But soon, this blog will look like I want it to.
Currently I am working on a baby blanket for a co-worker. It's been in progress for over a month. The baby was born last thursday. Why isn't this done yet?!?!
My answer: it's dull, dull, dull, dull, dull. The same patttern stitch, which hurts my hands to do for too long. The same color. The same yarn. So why am I doing this? I made this same pattern for another co-worker a year and a half ago. It was one of the first big projects I did and it tried to kick my butt. I couldn't figure out the pattern stitch, I couldn't figure out the pattern, it seemed impossible but somehow I got thru it. On the positive side, this is probably the pattern that forced me to learn how to interpret patterns. It's like a little bulb went on. And now I've progressed so far that this pattern is just too simple for my overwhelming crochet talent. Or something.
This blanket will be completed this weekend. I'm taking it to the overnight and not working on anything else until it's done! So there! And if you haven't signed up with Allison yet, please do so 'cause I really want to go and therefore don't want it to be cancelled for lack of bodies.
And the second pattern for the overnight? The ever-languishing sock monkey. And hopefully I will also finish that.
