Also today, I met Alison for a clandestine yarn deal. We met in a parking lot and surreptitiously traded balls of yarn whilst glancing anxiously over our shoulders. And Mike just stood there and laughed at us. Ask him about his "knitting = illegal drugs" theory.
In truth, Alison saved my butt. The ribbon scarf was woefully short (could have sworn I had enough) and Al just happened to have a skein of the proper stuff sitting at home, saving me a trip to JoAnn's and allowing me to reduce my stash somewhat. A lovely olive green fuzzy number is going home with her tonight.
I thank you and the birthday gal thanks you for averting the short scarf syndrome.
