I'm going to take a stand here and say that yesterday's mini VD SnB was a success.
The entire back of the SWTC tank, the beginning of the SWTC scarf and...some chocolate brought by the illustrious Nick.
We were a small group, but very verbose. I arrived first, followed in short order by Ashley (her first meeting, welcome), Eva (her 3rd meeting), Melanie (numerous meetings) and finally Nick (bearing cocoa products).
Eva is one of the brave souls doing the Breast Cancer 3-day walk, along with Brooke and Shannon and probably others I don't know about. Ashley, the former Marine, is planning a wedding to her active Marine. Nick is getting sick of making scarves (imagine that) and Melanie and I really had nothing new to report, at least to each other. I'm sure the "new" people learned a lot about us. Maybe too much.
The chocolate will be accompanying me to the Wednesday Mama Java meeting, since we all got oddly girly and refused to eat any. This way we can all enjoy Nick's generosity. Actually, I think he was scared to show up to a group of women on Valentine's Day without bearing gifts. Possibly a lesson learned the hard way? Or he's just a nice guy? One or the other.
I have an idea for the new SnB book, but it's going to require planning and math and counting and therefore will be slow going. I think it will work though.
Off to job hunt.

It WAS a success and I enjoyed meeting Eva and Ashley and it's always nice to see you and Nick. Still wish I could have eaten some chocolate, but I'm glad that we can share it with the bigger group on Wednesday. And look how much progress you made on the scarf. It's so exciting. And thanks for helping me decifer the crochet pattern. (I made a flower!). See you then ;-)
I had a great time last night. It was great meeting everyone! Thanks for organizing the get together. How I didn't eat any chocolate, I have NO idea, but it was sweet of Nick to bring it. Enjoy an extra piece or two for me!
